James brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our procurement efforts and we’re thrilled to have him on board.

I wanted to share an update on the recent charity 5-a-side football tournament that Greencore participated in. While some of us might have wisely chosen to stay dry and warm, our unfit but unforgettable squad braved the wet field in Northampton, and against all odds, surprised everyone with their performance, stumbling their way into the quarterfinals.

But beyond the football achievements, I wanted to highlight the main purpose behind this event – the charities that we were raising money for. Greencore has donated £250 to Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), our chosen charity for this tournament. BBOWT is on a mission to empower local people and partners to bring nature back. Their goal is ambitious yet inspiring – they aim for 30% of land in the region to be properly managed for wildlife by 2030. By supporting BBOWT’s mission through this donation, we are contributing towards creating bigger and wilder landscapes where both nature and people can thrive.

We’re excited to welcome Beverley Hawkins as the Head of Customer Services.
Bev has over 15 years of experience in delivering a high standard of customer service and setting up teams to enable organisations to meet and exceed customer expectations.  As we continue to grow, ensuring our customers are at the centre of what we do and providing exceptional service is crucial. Bev will be setting up and running a team to enable us to do this.

We are delighted to share that our very own Greencore Homes CEO – Jon Di-Stefano has been appointed to the Future Homes Standard Implementation Board.

The Future Homes Standard, set to take effect from 2025, mandates a 75-80% reduction in carbon emissions from current minimum standards.

Catherine Adams of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, and Matthew Pratt, CEO of Redrow will Co-Chair this crucial board overseeing the implementation of tighter energy efficiency standards in new homes. Jon joins experts from across the industry on the Implementation Board, including representatives from the National Federation of Builders (NFB) and the Home Builders Federation.

We’re poised to revolutionise the future of housebuilding. Together, we’ll drive collaborative efforts to create homes that are not only future-ready but also kind to our planet.
