Great to welcome a group of Masters architecture students to Greencore HQ from Oxford Brookes University alongside their Lecturer Peter Newton and Lead Design Tutor Melissa Kinnear.
Hosted as part of a final-year design unit focused on regenerative design, the visit gave students the opportunity to see first-hand how natural materials can be used in housing, not just in theory, but delivered at scale.
From our timber frame system to the use of materials like hemp, lime and wood fibre, it was a chance to walk through the detail, understand the thinking, and see how Better Than Net Zero homes come together in practice.
Feedback like this is always great to hear:
“A very valuable experience for the students to understand how natural materials can be incorporated in contemporary architecture at scale… it will be incredibly useful as they complete their final year projects.”
We’re always keen to support the next generation of designers and help bridge the gap between academia and delivery.
If you’re working in education and would like to arrange a visit, feel free to get in touch.
