Ian Pritchett, Co-Founder and Innovation Director at Greencore Homes, recently joined the ‘Where It’s AT’ podcast to discuss how natural materials can help decarbonise housing at scale.
Hosted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, the episode explores how hemp is integrated into Greencore’s proprietary BIOND closed-panel timber system, combining hemp, lime and wood fibre insulation to deliver homes that are Better Than Net Zero.
Speaking with host Chris Halligan MCIAT, Ian explains the practical challenges of using hemp in traditional on-site construction, and why prefabricated, factory-controlled manufacturing has been critical to achieving consistent quality, performance and scalability. The conversation also covers how Greencore’s approach supports ultra-low embodied carbon construction while maintaining high standards of thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
The episode provides insight into how innovative material choices and modern methods of construction can support Greencore Homes’ ambition to deliver 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035.
We’re delighted to announce that Laura Stone, Chief Operating Officer at Greencore Homes, played a leading role at this year’s flagship property event, SPACE UK 2026 in London.
Held on 28 January 2026, SPACE UK – organised by SPACE+ – brings together senior executives, developers, investors and thought leaders from across the UK real estate sector to explore emerging trends, new business models and strategic innovations shaping the future of property.
Laura took to the stage as a Co-Host of the “IMPACT: Measuring What Matters” Tribe, where she led insightful discussions on developing effective ESG data strategies. Delegates heard from Laura about establishing reliable baselines, addressing Scope 3 emissions challenges, and using data-driven tools to transform ESG from compliance to strategic advantage.
SPACE UK is widely recognised as one of the most progressive property conferences in the UK, with its unique Tribe format designed to create deep dialogue, foster collaboration, and unlock opportunities across the real estate ecosystem.
It was fantastic to see Greencore Homes represented at the heart of the conversation on sustainability, innovation and measurable impact in property.

Great to welcome Homes England to Greencore Homes last week for a really constructive conversation on how they can better support SME developers, particularly around access to funding. The team also had a tour of our factory, where we manufacture the BIOND panels used in our Better Than Net Zero homes.
With the right financial backing, SMEs can play a far bigger role in delivering high-quality, sustainable homes at scale, and it’s encouraging to see Homes England leaning into that agenda.
Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of Greencore Homes, has been featured in a recent Q&A interview with Green Street News: Europe, discussing the business’s progress, ambitions and next phase of growth.
In the interview, Jon reflects on the significant steps Greencore Homes has taken to scale in recent years, alongside the company’s long-term ambition to deliver 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035. He outlines how Greencore’s focus on modern methods of construction, ultra-low embodied carbon materials and Passivhaus-aligned design is enabling the business to grow while maintaining consistently high environmental standards.
The conversation also explores the broader housing and investment landscape, Greencore’s expanding development pipeline, and the role that genuinely sustainable homes must play in addressing both the housing shortage and the climate challenge.
