We’re delighted to announce that Greencore Homes has secured a new development site in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire! This former allotment land, originally owned by the Church of England – Diocese of Oxford, will soon become home to 75 new houses, including 30% affordable housing with a significant number designated as social rented homes.
After a comprehensive consultation and tendering process, Greencore was chosen by the Diocese due to our shared commitment to sustainability and our Better Than Net Zero homes.
Rt Revd Steven Croft, Bishop of Oxford, highlighted the shared vision: “During the process it was a priority that we chose a developer which shared these aims for the Waddesdon site. We are particularly pleased that Greencore, a diocese-based award-winning company will now be bringing forward a ‘better than net zero’ development that we and the local community can be proud of”
Our CEO, Jon Di-Stefano, said: “Securing this site in Waddesdon marks another important milestone in our mission to deliver 10,000 Better Than Net Zero homes by 2035. We are delighted to be working closely with the Diocese of Oxford on this landscape-led development, ensuring it enhances the character and sustainability of the local community.”
We’re proud to collaborate with Bidwells who were recently accredited as a B-Corp company, Freeths, Sidleys, and DAC Beachcroft to bring this impactful project to life.
